About Me

I am Jakuta Ptah, LMFT. I believe therapy should feel like a place where you can exhale. Where you don’t have to perform, fix yourself, or have the right words. Just show up as you are—and we’ll work from there.

Since 2016, I’ve supported individuals, couples, and families through challenges that are often hard to talk about: intimacy struggles, performance anxiety, low or high libido, erectile issues, painful sex, porn or sex-related behaviors that feel out of control, and the emotional distance that can grow in relationships over time.

I work with people from all walks of life—LGBTQ+ folks, those exploring kink or non-monogamy, neurodivergent individuals, public figures, and anyone on a path of deeper self-understanding. I also help parents facing the emotional weight of caregiving, identity shifts, and trying to hold it all together while still wanting something for themselves.

My background includes years in community mental health, residential programs, and private practice. I draw from mindfulness, CBT, emotion-focused work, and trauma-informed care—but at the end of the day, I keep it real, grounded, and human. This isn’t about fixing you. It’s about helping you feel more connected—to your body, your emotions, your relationships, and your own truth.

You don’t need to have it all figured out. You just need to be willing to start
